Compliance of Dental Staff and Students to Dental Guideline amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Institutional Analysis

COVID-19 can be transferred via aerosols. Amidst the pandemic, dental practitioners, supporting clinical staff and clinical-year students are directly exposed to aerosols produced during treatment. Thus, Faculty of Dentistry Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) developed guidelines that included a standard operating procedure for settings. This study aimed assess adherence pandemic investigate nature extent difficulties encountered by faculty members in complying with guidelines. Amongst 128 respondents, 84.1% reported unclear vision due fogging goggles, whereas 45.2% blurred when worn together. Moreover, approximately 30.2% respondents claimed KN95 masks contribute difficulty breathing. Nevertheless, most compliant Noncompliance mainly caused issue goggles. this should tackled prevent impairment treatment quality.
